Cedar Park Public Library interiors with Hellerup Treescape No. 2.

Commissioned by Met/Gal Art + Advisors
In November 2023, Met/Gal Art + Advisors reached out about a potential commission for a new public library in Cedar Park, Texas, a suburb of Austin. Along with the client and architect, we decided on a nine-panel painting originating from a photographic I took while traveling in Denmark in October of 2019. The original photograph (below) was taken outside of the home of Knud Erik Hansen of Carl Hansen & Son, furniture makers, on the outskirts of Copenhagen. I was fascinated with the gnarly textures between the groundcover, the trees, and their interaction with the reflections in the water below.
The civic project was designed by Lake Flato Architects and opened to the public in November of 2024. Detailed images of the individual panels are pictured below.

The Commission Process
I have had the pleasure of collaborating with esteemed brands to create commissions for the hospitality, technology, and healthcare industries, as well as with individual collectors.
The commission process begins with a conversation to understand your vision and the story you want to tell. Typically, I submit a proposal with a selection of prospective images from my collection of photographs with pricing estimates based on the size and scope of the project. Once we agree on the details, I create a preliminary digital image for approval before I begin to paint. I am happy to provide progress images during the painting process.
